First, coordinate the date and time for your class with us. If you live in the San Diego area, the day before your class, we’ll schedule a time with you to drop off the prepared ingredients, individually packaged so each of your friends can pick them up. If you live outside of the San Diego area, will mail non-perishable Thai ingredients safe to ship longer distances. Then, we will email you a link and any necessary password to join the class. What if I want to have a large group take a class but I don’t have a large enough kitchen to accommodate everybody?
If your kitchen doesn’t have the capacity or you simply do not want to use your kitchen, we can arrange to rent a commercial kitchen for you with an additional fee. Just let us know your plans in advance so we can confirm.
It’s easy! You can schedule an online or in-person cooking class. Through the booking process, please let us know your choice of dishes and dessert (if desired) together with the date and time you prefer. After checkout, we will contact you within a day to confirm your reservation. If you have a large group or questions, just call us and we will assist you.
Classes are private and while we don’t limit the size, there may be some constraints. For example, in-person class size may be limited by the size of your kitchen! For our online classes, multiple participants can be accommodated using individual devices. We just ask you to please prepare your kitchen and basic cooking utensils for yourself and others in your class.
Classes last between 1.5 to 2 hours (not including clean-up time) depending on the difficulty of your chosen dishes.
Ah, we like your adventurous spirit! It is possible to add more dishes to your original booking. Just email us with your special request. We would be happy to teach you more dishes, but be prepared for a longer class!
It depends. If you live in the San Diego area, for in-person classes and online classes, we supply all ingredients and recipes. We deliver them to your doorstep. If you are taking an online class and you live outside of the San Diego area, we will deliver non-perishable key ingredients safe to ship longer distances.
Unlike some cooking classes, ours are completely hands-on. We’re with you every step of the way!
In-person classes will be held in the greater San Diego area including Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, La Costa, Oceanside, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Santa Fe, San Marcos, Solana Beach, 4S Ranch and Vista. If it’s more than 20-mile radius, we may ask for an additional fee for travel cost. Online classes are offered everywhere in the US. Call to be sure we serve your area!
If you have any concern about cooking utensils for your in-person class, please drop us a line or call and we take care of it.
Although many authentic Thai dishes are quite spicy, we will help you adjust the recipe to your heat level. However, some dishes cannot be made without a medium level of heat.
Of course! Please just let us know which dish(es) you want to learn how to cook. Nothing is impossible to a willing heart!
Please let us know before you sign up for a class since some authentic Thai food has seafood, shellfish and/or nuts. Fish sauce is used in almost every dish but the good thing is we have a vegetarian fish sauce as well. However, we can substitute meat in some dishes if you prefer but please call and check with us.
While most of our menu sets include meat or seafood, we may be able to adjust our recipe to meet your dietary needs. We also have a vegetarian fish sauce to use in your dishes. Please give us a call-in advance with any dietary needs.
Definitely! We design our class to make your Thai cooking more fun and easy so that you can go back and cook these dishes again. We can help you with recipes and finding necessary ingredients, so you won’t have any hurdles when cooking your favorite Thai dishes after the class ends.
We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason 7 days before the scheduled class. Participants can choose a full refund or a credit for a future class if we cancel a class. No refund if cancellation is less than 3 days before the scheduled class.
